About Akasaka Area
Akasaka is a very historical city, and "Ieyasu Tokugawa", a general at the time, developed this area during the Edo period. ※Edo period is 1603~1867
There is a place name called "Akasaka Tameike"(Tameike means a pond), as the name implies, there was a big pond. A lot of carps and crucian carpwas released at the time and There is an anecdote that the third general, Iemitsu Tokugawa, enjoyed swimming. Unfortunately, the land reclamation that began in 1875 has made the big pond disappear.
At present, the Akasaka area is very easy to live in because there are "Akasaka Sacas", 24-hour supermarkets, many Japanese and Korean restaurants, Izakaya and bars.
