Ikejiri-ohashi Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line is one stop, about 2 minutes, from Shibuya, and through-service onto the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line gives direct access to Omotesando and Otemachi. Meguro Sky Garden, built on the roof of the Ohashi Junction, is an unusual multi-level park laid out above a highway loop and has become the local landmark. The Meguro River flows close to the station with a well-kept promenade, and in cherry blossom season you can walk all the way toward Nakameguro. The surrounding area is a calm residential district mixing low-rise housing with independent cafés and bakeries, and Shibuya is only about 20 to 25 minutes away on foot. Setagaya Park is also within walking distance, making weekends with children easy. Supermarkets and restaurants line Route 246, and Shibuya's shopping complexes and English-speaking clinics are easily reached.
